A rare space age cascade pendant lamp by Leclaire & Schäfer, crafted in Germany during the 1970s. Featuring three white glass shades with chrome accents, this sculptural piece is suspended at varying heights from a ceiling structure, see photo, creating a dynamic vertical composition. The pendants can also be arranged in a line for a more symmetrical look, offering flexibility in presentation.
Leclaire & Schäfer, founded in 1893 in Neheim—Germany’s historic center of lighting design—produced a number of refined fixtures until the company quietly ceased operations in the 1980s. This lamp is a rare surviving example of their mid-century modern craftsmanship, combining futuristic aesthetics with high-quality materials.
In very good vintage condition and fully functional, this lamp makes a bold yet elegant statement in any retro-inspired or contemporary interior.
