Step into the captivating world of mid-century modern lighting with this rare WILA Leuchten mushroom shaped pendant lamp from 1960. Crafted by the esteemed German manufacturer WILA Leuchten, celebrated for its innovative designs. Adding to its allure is the influence of renowned designer Frank J. Bentler, whose visionary approach and keen eye for form helped shape this iconic piece. Bentler’s contributions to lighting design in the 1960s brought an artistic sensibility that elevated everyday objects into collectible art.
The lamp features a striking mushroom-shaped brown plexiglass shade, paired with a white round diffuser and refined chrome details. Although similar mushroom table lamps are more common, the pendant version is exceedingly rare. Minor light spots and slight deformation on the top, due to heat exposure from high watt bulbs, are nearly unnoticeable.
Perfect for modern or eclectic interiors, this pendant lamp offers a warm, inviting glow while carrying a rich legacy of design excellence.
